Ukraine and Russia have exchanged the bodies of more than 120 dead soldiers , DPA reported, citing official sources from both sides, BTA reported.

Ukraine has received back the bodies of 99 dead soldiers, announced today on its profile in “Telegram” The Coordinating Headquarters for Prisoner of War Issues in Kyiv. Of them, 77 were killed in Donetsk, 20 in Zaporozhye and two in Kharkiv region.

In turn, Russia has received the bodies of 23 military personnel, the Russian news site RBC reported, citing State Duma deputy Shamsail Saraliev. Ukraine has been fighting a full-scale Russian invasion for over two years now.

The exact number of military deaths during the conflict is normally kept secret by both sides. Last month, however, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country's losses were around 31,000. Western estimates present a significantly higher number. According to American calculations, since the middle of last year, the dead Ukrainian soldiers are about 70 thousand, while the Russian ones are about 120 thousand.
