The UN Security Council meets urgently over Iran's attack on Israel

Tel Aviv called for condemnation of Tehran's actions

A meeting of the Security Council is scheduled for today ( SC) of the United Nations in relation to Iran's attack on Israel. This was announced to reporters tonight by Malta's permanent mission to the UN, which holds the presidency of the Security Council in April.

„We intend to hold a meeting at 4:00 p.m. on April 14”, the Maltese diplomatic mission said, TASS reported.

Earlier, Israel's permanent representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said that the country had requested an urgent meeting of the Security Council in connection with the Iranian attack. He also called for condemning Tehran's actions and adding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (the elite units of Iran's armed forces) to the list of terrorist organizations.

On Saturday evening, the press service of the Israeli Defense Forces announced that Iran had launched drones from its territory towards Israel, the country is on high alert and tracking all targets. The Israeli military later said it had also recorded missile launches from Iran. Iran has confirmed a massive attack on Israel using drones and missiles.
