The need to continue the efforts of Azerbaijan and Armenia to peacefully resolve the border issues is essential for the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus, said the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA.
"We respect the agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia reached at the meeting of the commissions for determining and delineating the borders between the two countries," he said.
Continuing efforts by both sides to resolve border issues peacefully in accordance with mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is necessary for the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus, Kanani added.
