The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a video of a burning Russian Ka-32 helicopter , which was engulfed in flames at the Ostafiyevo airport in Moscow, the press service of GUR reported, quoted by Ukrinform, BTA reported.

"In the early hours of April 26, 2024, an enemy Ka-32 multi-role helicopter was destroyed at the Ostafievo airfield operated by the Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow, the statement said.

The press service of GUR notes that the Russian Ministry of Defense serves the airport together with the airline company "Gazpromavia", which is part of "Gazprom" Inc.

"The destroyed unit of aviation equipment was used by the aggressor state in the interest of the Moscow Aviation Center, in particular - to support the operations of the Russian army," the GUR text says.

As reported, on April 17, a series of explosions were registered in the area of the military airport in the city of Dzhankoy on the Crimean peninsula. According to confirmed data, the Ukrainian strikes hit the S-400 air defense system and the command post of the Russian air defense regiment at Dzhankoy Airport, Ukrinform notes.
