Finland blames Russia for GPS jamming in the Baltics

Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, however, admitted it may not be a "deliberate act by Moscow"

Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen accuses Russia of GPS failure -systems in the Baltic region, YLE reported.

„I can't say exactly when, but it is clear that the range of GPS jamming has expanded since the beginning of the war and also changed its shape in many ways,” she said.

At the same time, the minister stated that citizens using the services of air carriers should not have cause for concern, the situation is under the control of the authorities.

Furthermore, she said, it is not known whether the GPS jamming was “a deliberate act by Russia”.
Finland, which joined NATO in 2023, has repeatedly accused Russia of involvement in the GPS failures.
