Minister - the president of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, today arrived on a visit to Ankara, reported the Turkish state television TRT-Haber, quoted by BTA.
Missotakis was received at Beştepe Presidential Palace by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Greek Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Esenboga Airport by the Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan, the Deputy Governor of Ankara Murat Soylu, the Deputy Mayor of the capital Faruk Koyluoglu, the Ambassador of Greece to Turkey Theodoros Bizakis and a number of other high-ranking Turkish representatives.
During the meeting at the Presidential Palace, Erdogan and Mitsotakis are expected to discuss a number of bilateral issues, steps that can be taken to strengthen bilateral cooperation, regional and international issues.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, within the framework of the visit, cooperation in the fields of economy, technology, agriculture, tourism, healthcare is planned to be discussed in particular. Special attention is expected to be given to the steps that both sides intend to take to increase bilateral trade.
After the talks, the two leaders are scheduled to hold a joint press conference.
