Musk to become adviser to Trump if he wins the election

The former president discussed how the billionaire could be useful officially on economic policy and border security

Elon Musk could become a political adviser to Donald Trump if the Republican is re-elected president of the USA, said in "Wall Street Journal", quoted by Reuters and BTA.

The US daily cited people familiar with the talks on the matter.

According to them, Trump is discussing with Musk, who owns the "SpaceX" (SpaceX) and "Tesla" (Tesla), as well as the social platform "X" (X), how the billionaire could have "official input and influence" on economic policy and border protection.

Musk also briefed Trump on his campaign to persuade influential American business leaders not to support Democratic President Joe Biden, who defeated the Republican in the 2020 election and will run for a second term in office in November, it also wrote " Wall Street Journal".

In March, after a meeting with Trump in Florida, one of the richest people in the world made it clear that he would not donate money to the campaign of either candidate, Reuters recalls.

Instead, according to one of the publication's sources, Musk wants to help defeat Biden by working to secure the support of powerful allies.

In recent years, the billionaire began to support the Republican Party more openly, Reuters notes.
