Chinese President Xi Jinping called today for the organization of a large peace conference to find a solution to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.

The Chinese leader made this appeal at a forum in Beijing attended by leaders of Arab countries and diplomats.

"The Middle East is a land of great prospects for development, but war is still raging there. War cannot go on forever. "The justice of may be absent forever," Xi said in reference to the war in the Gaza Strip.

The Chinese president noted that a "two-state solution" of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He noted that China firmly supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the "acceptance of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations".

In the forum in the format "China-Arab countries" Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Tunisian President Qais Sayed are participating.
