NATO has two to three years to prepare for a Russian strike against the alliance, Norway's defense chief warned, reported The Telegraph.

Discussing Russia's ability to rebuild its forces while waging war in Ukraine, General Erik Christophersen said: “It will take some time, which gives us a window now for the next two to three years to rebuild our forces, to rebuild our stocks while at the same time continuing to support Ukraine”.

General Christophersen's time frame is very different from previous estimates by military commanders. In January, Germany's defense minister warned that Russia could attack NATO in five to eight years.

The signals coming from Russia on this matter are contradictory. The president of the federation, Vladimir Putin, recently stated that his country has no intention of attacking NATO, but at the same time, his regime makes daily nuclear threats against the alliance.
