The White House declined to say whether President Joe Biden will meet with Benjamin Netanyahu during the Israeli prime minister's visit to Washington next month to address the US Congress, Reuters reported, citing BTA.

"I have nothing to announce today,”, national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in an interview with CBS, adding that the two politicians are in regular communication.

"He will come to speak to Congress. "The president talks to him all the time," Sullivan said.

Netanyahu is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress on July 24. Biden is a staunch supporter of Israel in its war with "Hamas" in Gaza, but there has been tension between the two politicians regarding the way Israel is conducting the war, Reuters recalled.

Biden, who is running for re-election in November, has faced criticism for his support for Israel from his left-wing allies, while the death toll in Palestine from the Israeli offensive continues to rise.

At least 274 Palestinians are known to have been killed and 698 wounded in Israeli strikes on the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip yesterday, the Gaza Strip Health Ministry said, as quoted by Reuters.

Since the start of Israel's military offensive in the Gaza Strip, at least 37,084 Palestinians have been killed and 84,494 injured, the Gaza Health Ministry said.
