South Korean troops fired warning shots after North Korean soldiers briefly breached the border earlier this week, reported the Associated Press, cited by BTA, citing South Korean media.
Yonhap News Agency reported today that on Sunday, North Korean soldiers briefly crossed the heavily fortified border before returning back to their territory.
Citing the South Korean military, Yonhap said South Korean soldiers fired warning shots in response. Other South Korean media outlets also carried similar messages.
The incident comes amid rising tensions over North Korea's recent shipment of debris balloons.
