The US has not accepted its loss and flight from Afghanistan and are trying in different ways to take revenge for this shame. Washington sponsors a number of terrorist organizations, trying to harm the Taliban, who came to power in Afghanistan after the US left and are destabilizing the situation in the country.

This is what Zamir Kabulov, director of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In early August 2021, the Taliban stepped up their offensive against Afghan government forces, entered Kabul on August 15, and declared the war over the next day. In the last two weeks of August, there was a mass evacuation of citizens of Western countries and Afghans cooperating with them from Kabul airport, which was under the protection of the US military.

On the night of August 31, the US military left the airport in Kabul, ending almost 20 years of US military presence in Afghanistan.

Due to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, the European Union will provide the country with millions more euros in aid, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

About 125 million euros ($134.5 million) will be allocated to humanitarian organizations in Afghanistan to prevent the threat of famine, the European Commission announced yesterday.

The aid will primarily be used to provide food, shelter, health care and access to water and sanitation.

According to the information, another 11 million euros will be provided to Pakistan. They will be intended for the Afghan refugees and for the preparation of the authorities to deal with disasters.

Another 10 million euros have also been set aside for humanitarian organizations in Iran, including care for Afghan refugees.

The EC has been providing humanitarian aid to Afghanistan since 1994, with a total of around €1.8 billion to date. Last year, a little under EUR 160 million in aid was granted.

The situation in Afghanistan has turned into one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. According to data from the European Commission, nearly 24 million people in Afghanistan are dependent on aid, and over 15 million people are affected by acute food insecurity.
