Russian troops may enter the operational area west of Avdeyevka, Donetsk region, the Bild analyst warns Julian Röpke.

According to his information, Russian troops captured the villages of Novopokrovskoe and Novooleksandrovka west of Avdeevka. Currently, the fighting for Novoselovka and Sokol continues.

The defense in this part of the front is supported by the 47th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Another 5 km of fields extend to the west. If the armed forces of the Russian Federation capture these villages, they can enter the operational space of Avdeevka.

"If Russia succeeds in advancing there, they will have a few kilometers of free territory in front of them and they will be able to advance, although not easily, but relatively easier, without fighting for every populated place,”, notes Röpke.
