The Israeli army's Chief of General Staff said that the Palestinian armed group "Hamas" brigade in the city of Rafah has been almost eliminated, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"It is clear that we are approaching the moment when we can say that we have eliminated the Rafah Brigade, that it has been defeated not in the sense that there are no more terrorists, but in the sense that it can no longer function as a combat unit," said Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi.
