The Chinese Meteorological Service warned today of high temperatures across China for the next few months, Reuters reported.
According to the service, summer in China will be quite hot.
China has already been hit by harsh weather conditions. Torrential rains and floods affected the southern part of the country, and temperature records were set in northern and central China. Harsh conditions threatened agricultural crops and power grids.
This year has been unusually warm in China, with average temperatures from March to May the highest since records began in 1961.
The warning about the expected heat was issued by the weather service at a regular monthly briefing in Beijing.
