On Monday, Russia carried out another bloody attack on Ukraine, killing and injuring dozens of civilians. The attack on the children's hospital in the capital Kyiv was not accidental at all, but a deliberate move, with which Vladimir Putin sends a very clear message to Ukraine, NATO, China and India.
This is indicated by Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, it is a deliberate war crime. First, it is a message to China, India and other “non-Western countries”: you need to make friends with the powerful.
The strong one is the one who can break any rules and go unpunished. The current world order is now dead and we must negotiate anew, from a position of real strength. Putin really believes that NATO is afraid of Russia, not the other way around.
With the strike on the children's hospital in Kiev, Putin actually said: I broke the existing system, a new world order will be established, let's discuss this. Secondly, Putin sent a message to Ukraine: surrender, no one will protect you, only suffering and death await you outside of Russia.
The timing of the missile attack against Ukraine is well calculated – just before the NATO summit in Washington. Putin's message is clear - your leaders are weak, they can't do anything, you can end up like Ukraine. The NATO meeting will not change anything. The US has lost its leadership. I broke the system of international law and introduced the law of force.
Anton Gerashchenko points out that “there is very little time left to stop Putin”. If this does not happen, there will be completely new rules in the world. Those with which Ukraine now survives and dies. Russia demonstrates these “new rules of world order” in Ukraine – obey or die.
