Last night, US President Joe Biden announced that he was withdrawing from the US presidential race. A little later, he endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination.

"Kamala Harris is a familiar face to the Democratic Party. The campaign is not starting from scratch," Nadezhda Neinski, former foreign minister, told bTV, quoted by novini.bg.

"Harris currently does not have a high rating. There is criticism that, as vice president, she failed to achieve her goals and show efficiency," she added.
"A woman has a better chance than another man as an opponent of Donald Trump. The non-standard moment requires non-standard solutions", said the former foreign minister.

"It is significant that Donald Trump criticized Harris even before she became an official candidate for the Democratic Party's presidency. He is afraid."

According to her, Trump wants to shift relations from Europe to China, and this causes concern in Europe about what would happen in the event of an attack on a European NATO member country.

"Trump wants the US to be a mediator rather."

And he added that it is complex to look at what is happening in America to wait to order our own government.

It was a mistake that there was no coalition agreement between GERB-SDS and PP-DB, Neinski believes.
