Today Israel announced two more of the hostages taken to the Gaza Strip as dead, reported Reuters , quoted by BTA.

The agency noted that this comes as talks on a possible ceasefire agreement, including the release of about 120 Israeli hostages, are due to resume later this week.

The Israeli military said it was still investigating the deaths of the two hostages, Yagev Buchstab, a 35-year-old sound operator, and historian Alex Dansig, 76, who were abducted from their homes in kibbutzim near the border with the Gaza Strip in the attack on " "Hamas" against Israel on October 7.

A team of Israeli representatives was to begin negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip with the mediation of "Hamas", which would include discussing the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

"Yagev and Alex were taken hostage alive and should be returned alive to their families in their country," the Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons said in a statement. "Their death in captivity is a tragic reflection of the consequences of the negotiations being dragged out," the organization adds.
