The new head of British Army General Sir Rollie Walker revealed the huge scale of Russian losses in the war against Ukraine to achieve “minimum“ goals.

In an interview with Sky News, the British military said that if Vladimir Putin continues to wage a full-scale war against Ukraine (there are currently no indications to the contrary), it will take him 5 years to fully take over the four Ukrainian regions that Moscow annexed illegal, but over which there is no full control.

In addition, it will lose 1.8 million soldiers – killed or wounded. Rollie Walker also said that in a long war "there are no winners. It is a complete devastation for both countries and for the lost generations.

The new Chief of the British Army General Staff has said that the war in Ukraine is "not going well for anyone". But he warned that Vladimir Putin must fail or a wider security framework that protects the Euro-Atlantic alliance Nato - the real target of his aggression - would be at risk.

„The Russians are likely to need five years to work their way towards their minimum targets for the four areas,”, the British military predicted.

Currently, neither Ukraine nor Russia has the strength to make a decisive breakthrough on the front. In practice, the long front in recent months has remained almost unchanged, with the exception of a few towns and villages captured by the Russian army, but at a huge cost in human casualties.

The British general doesn't understand Putin's logic of losing 1.8 million Russians to seize a small piece of land in Ukraine. However, Rollie Walker is sure of one thing: no matter how the war in Ukraine ends, the Putin regime will seek revenge against countries such as Great Britain, which supported Kiev against the Russian aggressor.
