Former first lady Melania Trump will release a book this fall titled Melania, described by her team as a "powerful and inspiring story of a woman who forged her own path, overcame trials and achieved personal perfection." ;, reported the Associated Press, quoted by BTA.
This is the first memoir by Trump, who has been avoiding the public eye recently as her husband, Donald Trump, aims to return to the White House.
The book "Melania" will be published by Skyhorse Publishing, which has previously published texts by Trump supporters, including former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. The publishing house has also worked with presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. and former Trump supporter – Michael Cohen, who later became one of his fiercest critics. Some books published by Skyhorse include forewords written by Trump ally Steve Bannon.
The release of Melania Trump's memoir was announced today by her team, which did not give an exact date for the book's publication or whether it would happen before the November election. Trump has been the subject of other books, such as that of former adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, but Trump herself has never detailed her own story.
The former first lady "invites readers into her world, offering a close-up portrait of a woman who lives an extraordinary life,", writes the book's synopsis. "In "Melania" personal stories and family photos not previously shown are included.
A spokesman said there was no information other than what was provided in the book's release announcement, which made no mention of financial terms, publicity plans or whether Trump had worked with a co-author.
Melania Trump, the third wife of Donald Trump, has been an enigmatic figure since her husband announced that he would run for president in 2016. She tried to keep her personal life out of the spotlight even while she was first lady, focusing on raising their son Barron and promoting her Be the Best initiative. in support of the "social, emotional and physical health of children".
Although she appeared at the 2024 campaign kick-off event and attended the closing event of the Republican National Convention, for the most part Melania Trump chose to stay out of the campaign. Her decision not to speak at this year's convention was a break from the tradition of wives of presidential candidates, as well as the tradition of speaking at the 2016 and 2020 Republican conventions.
According to her team, the memoir will be released in two versions: a 256-page full-color collector's edition priced at $150, each copy signed by the author, and a 304-page memoir edition that includes 48 pages with photos that have never been published before. The price of the book is $40, and signed copies will be priced at $75.
Both editions can be pre-ordered from the former first lady's website, MelaniaTrump.com. It is not yet clear when or if the memoir will be available for purchase elsewhere.
Unlike other former presidents and first ladies, Donald and Melania Trump have not published books since their time in the White House through prominent New York publications. Donald Trump published several books before his presidency and for them he worked with publishers such as "Random House" and "Simon & Schuster", but then many of them began to avoid him because of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
He also published two books after leaving Washington – one with photos commemorating his time in the White House and a selection of letters from world leaders and celebrities. Both were published by Winning Team Publishing, co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign staff member – Sergio Gore.
