The rocket that killed 12 young men and children in the Golan Heights had a warhead weighing more than 50 kg, the Israeli army announced. quoted by DPA.
Chief of the General Staff of Israel Herzi Halevi visited last night the place in the Druze village of Majdal Shams where the rocket fell.
"We were investigating the remains of the rocket that are here on the wall of the football field. We can say that it is a missile "Falak" with a 53-kilogram warhead," he said.
Halevi added that it was a "Hezbollah missile.
"We support the Druze community, our brave and full partner alongside the rest of Israel's citizens," he said.
Majdal Shams is populated primarily by the Druze, an Arabic-speaking religious community.
