Ukraine is allocating additional funds for its missile program, President Volodymyr Zelensky said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
After the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the production of long-range drones became a top priority for Ukraine. It is also trying to increase its domestic production of weapons such as the anti-ship missiles “Neptune“, which can also hit ground targets.
“Additional funds will be allocated for our missile program“, Zelensky wrote on “Telegram“. He indicated that the number of Ukrainian-made missiles would increase, but did not disclose further details.
Last month, Zelensky announced that Ukraine had taken steps to reduce its dependence on allied missile supplies, including air defense missiles, Reuters recalls.
