The Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region showed how weak and uninitiative the Russian army is on its own territory. And this will be taken into account not only by Ukraine and its partners, but even by those countries that Russia so persistently calls “fraternal“.
This was stated by the military-political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko to Oboz.ua. The expert points out that the Russian army has huge problems and shortcomings, despite trying to present itself to the world as “unparalleled”: lack of border control, lack of human resources, slowness in making urgent decisions, poor communication between troops, lack of of troop mobility even on own territory and many others.
Kovalenko pointed out that the Russian command in the person of Vladimir Putin demonstrated an inability to respond to such threats. One of the reasons for these problems is rooted in the unreliable information that Putin receives.
Kovalenko flashed back to 2021, when he says Putin decided to launch a full-scale war against Ukraine. Then he received analytical information from specialized departments of every security agency, including the FSB, the GRU and the Ministry of War. According to their calculations, the best-case scenario is the capture of Kiev in three days. No structure provided Putin with reliable, stable, rational and professional analyses. And the Russian president himself trusted the most incompetent analysts from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Russia is making huge sacrifices in manpower against Ukraine and it is a lie that it has an inexhaustible human resource. Now Russia is running an unprecedented advertising campaign to attract would-be fighters, with one-off payments of two million rubles per hand and other perks. Recruitment takes place not only in the Russian Federation, but also abroad - in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Central Asia. Would this have happened if Russia had no problem with human resources?
