The White House has advised Russian President Vladimir Putin to withdraw his troops from Ukraine immediately if he wants the Ukrainian operation in Kursk Oblast to stop.
This advice was given to the Russian leader by the coordinator of strategic communications of the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, the UNIAN agency reported.
The US official noted that Russian statements that the operation in this area of Russia is being coordinated by the West are “Putin propaganda” which the ruling Kremlin has been spreading since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine.
„This is Putin's war against Ukraine and if he doesn't like something, if something doesn't suit him, there is a very simple solution – "Let him get out of Ukraine and stop the war," Kirby said. He emphasized that Russia was the aggressor from the beginning, and Ukraine was forced to defend itself.
Against this background, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called "brilliant" and "daring" Ukraine's strike operation in Russia's Kursk region across the border. During a visit to Kiev yesterday, Graham called on President Joe Biden's government to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs.
