Ukraine has put the issue of peace talks with Russia on a long-term pause after the attack in the Kursk region, Rodion Miroshnik, the special envoy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said today, quoted by TASS, BTA writes.

According to him, this was done “fully consciously”.

The diplomat also noted that the reason why Ukraine uses drones to deliberately strike civilians is clear and "elevated to the level of the strategy of the Ukrainian regime". "The drones hit or kill civilians to sow fear in civil society, to create confusion, discontent and try to provoke some kind of ferment in Russian society," he added.

"The attempt to carry out a terrorist attack in the Kursk direction, the use of new methods, makes us grit our teeth and take all measures to punish the perpetrator, to punish the aggressor who encroaches on our people, on our territories" , Miroshnik also said and added that “this policy... is purposefully implemented by (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelensky and is a criminal phenomenon that completely contradicts the norms and principles of international humanitarian law.
