Two French fighter jets "Rafale" collided today in the skies over eastern France, with at least one pilot and his passenger missing and the other pilot rescued after the incident, Reuters reported, citing a post by Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecorneau on the social platform " Ex", BTA reported.
"One of the pilots has been found, he is alive and well. "The search is still ongoing," Lecornu wrote about the ongoing rescue operations.
French media reported that rescuers were searching for a missing trainee pilot who was on one of the planes, as well as the other missing pilot. "The local operation center has been activated to assist the armed forces, please stay away from the area," wrote in "Ex" the local prefecture.
