The Israeli spokesman armed forces Daniel Hagari said that the military has eliminated more than 17,000 Palestinian fighters in Gaza since the beginning of the war, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The armed forces declined to specify whether the term "eliminated" applies only to killed combatants, or it also includes the captured and wounded.
One Palestinian was killed and another seriously wounded after Jewish settlers opened fire on them in the West Bank city of Qalqilya, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
Armed settlers attacked a village in the area and fired live rounds at civilians, the Palestinian agency WAFA reported.
