Ukrainian forces have damaged another bridge over the Seim River, near the village of Zvanoe. The attack on the bridge was reported by both Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels, quoted by news.bg. The published photographs show that one lane of the bridge is seriously damaged.
On Friday, it became known that a bridge in the village of Glushkovo, through which important communications of the Russian troops pass, mainly for the defense of the border areas, was completely destroyed by an attack. Thus, even after the attack on a bridge in Zvanoe, the only bridge in the village of Karizh remained for supplying the Russian group in Tetkino. It will mainly use pontoon and river routes for delivery.
On the same day that information about the destruction of the bridge in Glushkovo appeared, journalists from Reuters noticed on satellite images from Planet Labs something similar to a new bridge near Glushkovo. This is probably a hastily created by the Russian military pontoon crossing, which is located about 2 km from the old bridge.
Reuters also analyzed the video that Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, posted on his Telegram channel. In the video, an aerial bomb can be seen hitting the bridge. Oleschuk explains that the forces and aircraft of the Air Force are actively participating in the military operations in the Kursk region. It does not specify when or where this video was taken.
Reuters was unable to determine the exact date of the shooting from the video itself, but satellite images from August 16 taken before the video was released showed the bridge still intact, and images from August 17 showed it already is damaged.
The Russian side officially announced on Friday that the bridge in Glushkovo was destroyed, some Russian sources claim that this was done with the help of HIMARS.
