The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, arrived in Baku today for his two-day state visit to Azerbaijan, reported AFP, quoted by BTA.
In the course of the negotiations with his Azerbaijani colleague Ilham Aliyev, he will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral relations, as well as issues from the world and regional agenda, TASS specifies.
The main official and working meetings of Putin's program in Azerbaijan are scheduled for tomorrow. The Russian president will traditionally visit the Alley of Martyrs and lay a wreath at the monument to the national hero of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, notes TASS.
The program will open with Putin's official meeting with Ilham Aliyev. The ceremony will be in the presidential palace "Zagulba" on the coast of the Caspian Sea.
