Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump today shared on his social network "Truth Social" obscene post for US Vice President Kamala Harris, the latest in a series of humiliating attacks by Republicans against his rival from the Democratic Party, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
The comment was made by another Truth Social user, who wrote under a photo of Harris and Trump's 2016 Democratic campaign rival Hillary Clinton: "Funny how s*cks have affected careers and both in a different way..."
The remark appears to be a reference to former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, who had a short-lived relationship with Harris more than two decades ago. A common right-wing attack on Harris is that Brown aided her rise in politics. The attack on Clinton is a reference to her husband, former US President Bill Clinton, who in the 1990s had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Jason Miller, a senior adviser to Trump's campaign, said in an interview with CNN today that he had seen the social media post but had not discussed it with him, adding that he did not know if he "even saw the comment that was there or just the picture". Trump's social media post comes amid a barrage of racist and sexist attacks from him and his allies against Harris, the first woman, first black and first South Asian woman to serve as vice president of the United States.
