The production of highly enriched uranium in Iran continues. Tehran is not improving its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, despite a resolution requiring it at the last meeting of the agency's board, according to a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reuters reported, quoted by BTV.

Iran's stockpile of uranium in the form of uranium hexafluoride enriched to 60% purity — close to 90%, which is required for weapons grade — have grown by approximately 22.6 kg, reaching 164.7 kg.

This is recorded in one of the two confidential quarterly reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

According to IAEA criteria, this amount is only 2 kg less than what is needed to make four nuclear bombs.
