At least 81 people have died and several are missing after an attack by suspected Boko Haram jihadists. in the northeastern state of Yobe in Nigeria, local officials told AFP, quoted by dariknews.bg.
"About 150 suspected Boko Haram terrorists armed with rifles and RPGs (grenade launchers) attacked Mafa County on more than 50 motorcycles around 4:00pm on Sunday," Yobe State Police Spokesman Abdulkarim Dungus said.
“They killed many people and burned many shops and houses. We have not yet established the actual number of those killed in the attack”.
Bulama Jalaluddin, a local official, added: “From these data it was found that at least 81 people were killed in the attack.
