The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah announced by decree that he accepts the resignation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Emad al-Atiki, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
Kuwaiti Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investments Nora Suleiman al-Fassam has been appointed to replace al-Atiki as acting oil minister, the emir's office said in a separate statement.
