The former American leader and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that the US does not need a military conflict with Russia.
„By voting for Kamala Harris, you are voting for war with Russia. Does anyone want war with Russia? If necessary, we will. But it is advisable not to allow it,” he said on Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Trump added that by voting for Harris, Americans would also be voting to restore conscription. “She wants to bring back the draft, mobilize your children and send them to a war that shouldn't have happened,”, the Republican claimed.
He has repeatedly promised to resolve the Ukrainian conflict "even before taking office". Trump also noted that if he wins the election, he will immediately reach out personally to Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, with a call to start negotiations
