Moldovan election results show democracy in the country remains strong despite Russia's attempt to undermine it, said the spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, quoted by Reuters, writes BTA.
Kirby hailed Moldova's vote to hold a referendum on its EU membership as a step forward in the country's development and noted that Russia had failed to undermine the presidential election there.
"The results show that Moldovan democracy is strong," said the National Security Council spokesman at the White House.
