Earthquake near Florence

The tremor was registered at a depth of 24 kilometers in the northeastern part of Italy

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale was registered today in Northern Italy, reports Focus.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the earthquake occurred at 10:16 local time (11:16 Bulgarian time).

Epicenter: 48 kilometers northeast of Florence and 13 kilometers southwest of Modigliana. Depth: 24 kilometers.

There were no reports of material damage or injuries as a result of the earthquake.

Earthquakes of this magnitude are relatively common in Northern Italy, which falls within a seismic zone. However, due to the small magnitude of the earthquake, no significant consequences are expected.

The earthquake was registered and confirmed by local authorities, and the situation continues to be monitored.
