An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale was registered today in Northern Italy, reports Focus.
According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the earthquake occurred at 10:16 local time (11:16 Bulgarian time).
Epicenter: 48 kilometers northeast of Florence and 13 kilometers southwest of Modigliana. Depth: 24 kilometers.There were no reports of material damage or injuries as a result of the earthquake.
Earthquakes of this magnitude are relatively common in Northern Italy, which falls within a seismic zone. However, due to the small magnitude of the earthquake, no significant consequences are expected.
