Fireboats at scene

Ronald Reagan International Airport in Washington has temporarily grounded all flights after a small plane crashed into the nearby Potomac River, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

“Flights are grounded due to an aircraft emergency. The likelihood of the grounding being extended is assessed as medium (30-60%)“, the aviation regulator said in a statement.

Fireboats are at the scene.
