Russian air defenses have shot down a Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet in the Sumy region, Russian media reported, citing military bloggers.
According to several sources, the Western fighter jet was shot down today, March 19. The pilot died.
Kiev denied this information. The head of communications for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuri Ignat, ironically stated that Russian propaganda had “shot down” the Ukrainian F-16 once again.
