The U.S. Department of Education said on Tuesday it was freezing about $2.3 billion in federal funds for Harvard University over the school's decision to defy White House demands, including closing its diversity, equality and inclusion programs, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
„Today's statement from "Harvard" "underlines the disturbing entitlement mindset that is pervasive at our nation's most prestigious universities and colleges - that federal investments are not tied to the responsibility to uphold civil rights laws," the U.S. Department of Education's Anti-Semitism Task Force said in a statement.
The task force said it was freezing $2.2 billion in grants and $60 million in contracts.
