US and British forces carried out a joint military operation in Yemen yesterday, the British Ministry of Defense said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.
According to the British Ministry, an air strike was carried out on a Yemeni Houthi rebel site where drones were being manufactured.
US President Donald Trump last month ordered intensive strikes against the Houthis, with his government telling him that it would continue to attack the Iranian-backed rebels until they stop attacking ships in the Red Sea.
Great Britain and the United States have previously carried out joint operations in Yemen, Reuters notes. The British Ministry of Defense specifies that the strike was carried out after sunset and that the British fighter jets that took part in the operation returned from it unharmed.
