The next round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington to resolve the crisis over the Iranian nuclear program, planned for May 3, will be held in Rome, with Oman remaining the mediator, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, Tasnim news agency reported.

Meanwhile, an official Tehran rejected the versions of foreign interference or sabotage in the explosion at the port. "As far as I know, there is no evidence that this is the result of foreign interference. "I have not seen a single report that suggests sabotage or interference by foreign agents," Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security Committee of Iran's Majlis (unicameral parliament), was quoted as saying by Iranian state television.

What flared up at Shahid Rajaee Port also has nothing to do with the defense sector or the armed forces, the lawmaker added. The port is gradually returning to normal operations, but smoke remains due to several ongoing fires. Authorities estimate that it will take two to three weeks to fully eliminate the consequences of the explosion and fires.
