According to the political expert, the countries of the European Union and China should also participate in the negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and not only the United States.
The presence of the American side in the negotiations is necessary, first of all, for Moscow, Zakhorodny believes. He stated that “if the United States withdraws from the negotiations, then [for Russia] any ties with the Americans will be severed“.
On the eve of May 9, the Russians have two main tasks: to organize a peaceful parade for themselves and to remain in the negotiation process, Zakhorodny believes. "But of course, they have no intention of stopping the aggression against Ukraine, because their plans have not changed," he stressed.
The Kremlin announced earlier today that a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is necessary, but Putin has no planned trip to the Middle East in the middle of this month, Reuters reported.
