Szijjarto: Europe is postponing peace in Ukraine out of fear

Its leaders will bear responsibility for their wrong strategy, Hungarian Foreign Minister believes

European leaders are postponing peace in Ukraine out of fear that they will have to bear responsibility for their wrong strategy for resolving the conflict.

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto in an interview with the Swiss newspaper „Neue Zürcher Zeitung“.

According to him, the statements of Europeans that Kiev can win on the battlefield and that it is not time for a ceasefire are only prolonging the conflict in Ukraine.

„European politicians have chosen the wrong strategy. This has created problems in the daily lives of their citizens and the end of the war will have consequences for these politicians. "That's why they want to postpone this moment as long as possible," the diplomat believes.
