Polish truck drivers today blocked a major border crossing with Ukraine in a renewed conflict with competing operators over low transportation prices, which they say are destroying their business, DPA reported, BTA reported.

"The border stands", writes the organizer of the protest, Rafal Mekler, in "Ex" for the action at the Dorohusk border crossing, located east of the Polish city of Lublin.

Previously, the Lublin district court overturned the local administration's decision to ban the protest.

According to the organizers, one truck per hour will now be allowed across the border.

Military and humanitarian transport, as well as buses and trucks carrying dangerous goods, fresh produce and animals, will be able to pass unhindered.

At the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, Polish carriers repeatedly blocked several border crossings to the neighboring country.

Before the start of the Russian war against Ukraine in February 2022, the country exported a large part of its goods by sea, DPA recalls.
