Russia and the US have agreed that the optimal solution to the problem is a dialogue in the Moscow-Kiev format.
This was stated by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik after the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US leader Donald Trump.
„Among the most important results of the conversation was the recognition and agreement of both sides that the format of the Russia-Ukraine dialogue is optimal for finding possible options for a settlement“, he said.
Only those who want to sabotage the negotiations between the leaders of Russia and the US can consider the telephone conversation between the two presidents as unsuccessful.
"The fact that the dialogue is not only maintained, but also deepened between the leaders of the two countries is perhaps one of the most irritating moments for those who made every effort to disrupt this dialogue. Therefore, they, of course, can consider these negotiations unsuccessful from their point of view. But from the point of view of constructiveness, movement towards a political and diplomatic path to resolving the Ukrainian crisis and deepening relations between the countries, they can be considered constructive“, he said.
