Two missiles hit the port in Odessa at 2:15 p.m. and 2:27 p.m., strong explosions shook the city, local channels in the "Telegram" app reported, BTA reports.
The airstrike was announced at 2:10 p.m.
Local authorities report high danger throughout the city, urging all residents to take shelter in bomb shelters until the alarm goes off.
The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgradsky, Izmailsky and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
