Iran will not agree to temporarily suspend uranium enrichment in exchange for a nuclear deal with the United States, Reuters reported, citing an official statement by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai from today, BTA reported.

He pointed out that no date has yet been set for the sixth round of talks between Tehran and Washington on Iran's nuclear program.

When asked about reports that Iran could freeze uranium enrichment for three years to reach an agreement with the United States, Baghai said at a press conference: "Iran will never accept that".

US President Donald Trump said yesterday that US negotiators had "very good" talks with an Iranian delegation over the weekend, Reuters noted.
