In early May, Israel informed the administration of US President Donald Trump that it was preparing to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, the New York Times wrote, citing its sources.

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is threatening to disrupt the talks (between Tehran and Washington) by striking Iran's main uranium enrichment facilities“, the publication states.

According to the data, Netanyahu may order a strike on Iran even if Washington makes a deal with Tehran.

On May 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araghchi said that in the event of an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, Iran would consider the United States an accomplice in such an attack and hold it accountable.

The minister also noted that Iran's nuclear program is under the comprehensive control of the International Atomic Energy Agency and none of its reports show that it deviates from its peaceful nature.

Earlier, the Iranian president assessed the possibility of concluding an agreement with the United States on the nuclear program.
