US President Donald Trump has changed his tone towards Russian leader Vladimir Putin, dissatisfied with his lack of desire for negotiations, and stated that “Putin is playing with fire“.

However, Moscow was not moved by Trump's threats and took him as a mockery. Russian state media RT (Russia Today), which is under the direct control of the Kremlin, wrote in a post on X that “Trump's message left little room for misinterpretation... until he decided to publish the exact opposite tomorrow morning“.

The publication of RT (the media account is sanctioned in EU countries) included a photo of Donald Trump's post on Truth Social, Rolling Stone magazine writes. The publication recalls that Trump repeatedly stated that he would end the war between Russia and Ukraine on the first day of his term. He later admitted that his words were exaggerated.

“What Vladimir Putin doesn't realize is that if it weren't for me, a lot of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD“, Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social yesterday. “He's playing with fire!“.

Russia refuses to end its aggression against Ukraine, even a 30-day ceasefire. According to sources close to the White House, Trump is losing patience with Putin and is considering sanctions.

However, the American president has become notorious for his impulsive statements and the lack of any consistency in them. Trump has repeatedly praised Putin for his leadership qualities and has even expressed his admiration for him. At one point, he decided to call him “crazy“ and threaten him for playing with fire. Even the Russian media was unmoved by these threats, suggesting that very soon Trump would change his tone towards Moscow again.
