Ukrainian attack on Russian strategic bombers over the weekend increases the risk of miscalculation and escalation, said US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, quoted by Agence France-Presse, writes BTA.
"Risk levels are rising significantly", Kellogg told "Fox News".
"When you attack part of the adversary's national survival system, namely its nuclear triad, it means you raise the level of risk, because you don't know what the other side will do", Kellogg explained.
Kiev claimed responsibility for coordinated drone attacks on several Russian air bases located far from Ukraine, claiming to have destroyed or damaged several strategic bombers - aircraft that could be used to bomb Ukraine and that could also carry nuclear weapons.
The nuclear triad includes the air, ground, and naval assets with which a country can deliver a nuclear strike.
